Paul Sandori is Senior Consultant with Revay and Associates Limited, Construction Consultants. The firm specializes in project management, scheduling and progress monitoring services on new projects, such as the Pearson Airport Development Program (approx. $4.5 billion) in which we participated from the start. Currently, we are working on several other major building and infrastructure projects.
A significant component of our work is dispute resolution and investigation of construction claims. In the ten years it took to complete the Pearson project, we resolved all the claims and disputes without a single lawsuit. In 2009, Paul assisted the Ontario Art Gallery in the resolution of construction claims on its expansion project, again avoiding lawsuits.
A Fellow of the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada, Paul has practiced engineering, architecture and project management in Europe and Canada for more than 40 years. His particular expertise is in building science. He is a Fellow of the Ontario Building Envelope Council, and has the designation of Building Science Specialist Ontario (BSSO). He taught the subject at the University of Toronto for 29 years.
He is the author of a book on structural mechanics entitled The Logic of Machines and Structures (John Wiley & Sons, New York, 1982), as well as many articles and papers on technical issues in construction.
For the last 30 years, Paul has been editor of the Construction Law Letter, a newsletter for the construction industry. He is co-author (with William Pigott, LL. B.) of the book Bidding & Tendering: What is the Law? published by LexisNexis. The authors are now working on the fifth edition of the book which will be published later this year.
Since joining Revay in 1992, Paul has acted as expert witness, mediator or arbitrator in numerous construction disputes.
