Francis McKenna is a Senior Consultant with 15 years of experience in the preparation of claims and expert reports for both contractors and owners. He has also held several senior positions in major engineering and construction firms in Ireland, the UK, Singapore and Canada, delivering expert reports and claims advisory, cost consultancy, risk management and project management services.
His areas of expertise include loss of productivity calculations as well as complex delay analyses. He has prepared, analyzed and negotiated the resolution of numerous construction claims, and is well versed in litigation and arbitration proceedings, including expert conferencing.
Francis’s diverse project experience includes work on power plants, manufacturing facilities, waste processing plants, oil and gas rigs, ship building, commercial offices, road construction, and special purpose facilities in Asia, Canada, and Europe. Some of his high-profile projects include the refurbishment of a nuclear power generating plant, an offshore oil drilling platform, a first-of-a-kind waste processing facility, and commercial and institutional buildings including offices and museums.
Francis holds a Master’s in Construction Law and Arbitration from Robert Gordon University (LL.M), a Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying and Industrial Studies from the University of Ulster (BSc), a certificate in Primavera P6 Scheduling Software, and is a Professional Member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS/PQS), and the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (MCIArb).
