Karl McIntyre holds a Diploma in Construction Engineering Technology Management and is a member of the Ontario Association of Certified Engineering Technicians & Technologists – (OACETT). He has completed the CCA Gold Seal Certification in Project Management with Distinction and he is a member of the Project Management Institute (PMI). Karl also holds a Certificate in Construction Law.
As the manager of Revay’s Toronto Branch and as a Senior Consultant, Karl is responsible for and oversees the preparation and analysis of complex construction claims, for providing project management and contract administration support, and for all business development and client relations activities.
Karl has over 20 years of practical experience in the construction industry, having held the positions of Project Director Construction & P3 for a leading Canadian firm, and Director, Asset Management and Advisory Services – North America for a prominent international developer. He has also worked as Senior Project Manager, Project Manager and Estimator for several major general contractors in Canada.
Karl’s expertise covers all commercial matters, shareholder and/or lenders’ interests and risk management, overall construction project delivery, contract administration and execution, as well as claims management.
Throughout his career, Karl has been in a key leadership role in the pursuit of a number of major P3/AFP projects including large government complexes, healthcare and transit projects. He was the executive in charge of a multi-million dollar hospital redevelopment project located in downtown Toronto and he was also a key executive in the successful delivery of numerous multi-million dollar construction management, bid/build and design-build construction projects throughout Ontario.
