Michelle L. Y. McMillan earned her Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Calgary. She has 20 years’ experience in project management, construction schedule creation and the review, production and evaluation of construction claims for negotiation, mediation, arbitration and litigation. She has worked on commercial, large-scale residential, infrastructure, institutional and industrial projects in Canada, the United States, the Middle East and Asia. Michelle has worked for contractors, owners and non-profit agencies. She has also functioned as a third party neutral, expert evaluator in construction disputes.
Michelle was a member of the project teams involved in several high-profile projects including the Petronas Towers in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, the tallest building in the world at the time of construction; the Time Warner Center in New York; the Newark, NJ Airport Monorail; and the Brooklyn courthouse historic restoration.
Working with the surety industry, Michelle has assisted in the evaluation and completion of problematic projects. She has also worked with individual companies to develop effective internal practices for construction scheduling, change management systems and claims avoidance.
Michelle has guest lectured at the University of Calgary and facilitated industry seminars and workshops on good construction scheduling practices and the quantification of delay.
Michelle has been with Revay and Associates Limited since 2001.
